Manchester City secured their historic fourth consecutive Premier League title with a commanding 3-1 victory over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium. The win was crucial, as City needed to ensure they held off Arsenal, who were two points behind but had a better goal difference heading into the final day.

Phil Foden set the tone early, putting Pep Guardiola’s side ahead after just two minutes. The England star doubled the lead before halftime, showcasing his exceptional talent. Although Mohammed Kudus managed to pull one back for West Ham, City’s midfielder Rodri restored their two-goal cushion with a precise shot from the edge of the area at the 59-minute mark.

City faced a moment of tension when West Ham had a second goal disallowed by VAR for handball, but their victory never seemed in serious jeopardy. This win capped off a remarkable run of 19 wins and four draws since their last league defeat against Aston Villa on December 6.

With this triumph, City has now won six of the last seven Premier League titles. Last season, they joined an elite group of teams—Huddersfield, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United—who have won the top flight three years in a row. However, Guardiola’s team has now achieved something unprecedented in the 136-year history of English football: winning the league title four consecutive seasons.
